Back stateside after #Eurosummer and staring down a calendar that’s already packed with video posts, webinars, and in-person events. (Turns out the internet doesn’t wait while you’re hopping time zones and dodging spotty Wi-Fi.)
While I’m getting everything lined up, I’ve also brought on a new assistant—because as much as I love automation, there are still things I can’t automate… and a few I just don’t want to. She’s here to catch the edge cases, clean up the chaos, and make sure nothing slips through while I focus on the big stuff.
Rather than a long post, this week I’ve recorded a video into how I setup assigning tasks to her by forwarding emails straight into my task manager with Make.com. I use Notion, but it works with Todoist, Asana, Basecamp, whatever. Just swap out the last module.
👉 Want to try it yourself? Grab the ready-to-use Make.com JSON import and start forwarding your own tasks today.
If you’re ready to stop duct-taping your author business together and actually build the systems that run it—automation and all—I've got a few spots open in the upcoming Author Automations Intensives. These are hands-on events where we build your tech stack together, step by step. You’ll leave with a fully working setup and a whole lot less stress.
